Bathrooms are big! They've gone from being a convenience to a luxury. Remodelling a bathroom is a challenge, but it is one that is worth taking on!

The road to remodelling can be full of obstacles and wrong turns. Avoid them by hiring professional Bathroom Fitters.

The Extenders are a fully trained and qualified team of builders, plumbers and electricians who specialise in all types of bathroom installation. We have 12 years of experience, ranging from remodelling existing bathrooms through to the design and installation of completely new bathrooms.

All of our work is certified by the appropriate schemes/authorities (e.g. NICEIC, GAS SAFE, FENSA and Local Authority Building Control), with our bathroom services including:

• Installation of new bath and shower rooms
• Installation of Wet Rooms
• Remodelling of existing bath and shower rooms

Typical projects include the fitting of showers, toilets, macerators, baths, bidets, sinks and Jacuzzis of all types – along with the associated carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting, flooring and tiling work.

Why Renovate Your Bathroom?

There are lots of reasons why people renovate bathrooms: the simplest motivation is the desire to replace an ageing, tired bathroom with one of the exciting and luxurious new bath and showers suites that are available now.

Other people realise that bathroom remodelling can help maximise the use and value of their home – with second bathrooms enhancing the home’s value (e.g. through provision of an en-suite bathroom) at the same time as easing the congestion when everyone wants to use the bathroom at the same time! It’s worth bearing in mind that as an investment, remodelling a bathroom is hard to beat in terms of both the pleasure it gives and the value it can add to your home.

Where to Start?

We offer a complete bathroom design and remodelling service – where you simply have to outline the sort of things you are looking for and we will then quote and take care of everything for you. However we know that some customers like to be more involved, in which case we would advise:

Establish a realistic budget.

The choice of options open to you is enormous – you can spend a few hundred pounds on a bathroom suite or you can spend many thousands. On top of this you have to consider the installation costs, particularly if you are not replacing things ‘like for like’ (i.e. using the existing plumbing and electrics) as well as the cost of accessories

To help you budget, you can consider getting quotes from the High Street bathroom specialists and the DIY Chains. These will give you a good idea of what the equipment costs and what’s possible. We are confident that we will significantly undercut all genuine offers from these outlets.

Be clear about what you want.

Being clear about what you want is really important to you and to us – are you looking to enlarge the bathroom, or reduce it to free up space elsewhere? Is storage important, or do you want a feeling of space? Will you want new lights (e.g. spotlights) and new tiles? Will you handle the Building Control application and fee (if moving or adding a bathroom) or do you want us to do that?

It is really important to note that, as with anything that is made to order, changing your mind later can impact on both timescales and costs ... so do have a good look at brochures and showroom displays and have a clear requirement before you engage anyone.

It will help you, and us, if you can sketch out what you want on paper, or use some of the free planning tools on websites such as IKEA and B&Q to see what works and to convey your ideas to us.

Be realistic.

Having a bathroom refurbished or a new bathroom built will mean that there will be building work taking place in your home or office – with carpentry, general building work, electrical work, plumbing, painting and tiling taking place. This inevitably means noise and dust as well as interruptions as materials are delivered and removed. Having said that, we work hard to minimise the inconvenience to our customers and we always ensure that the site is kept safe.

Free Quotation.

The next stage is to get in touch with us for a free quote! You can call us on:
